My name is Kaitlyn, Calligrapher and Stationer of Seek Paper Co. I'm a twenty-something southern Florida girl, living in the Pacific Northwest with my wonderful Husband, our baby girl, and a puppy named Atlas! I love the Lord, & knowing that despite all my flaws and shortcomings He has redeemed me.
My favorite things include being a momma, eating pizza, weekend adventures, and wearing my pajamas all day!
Fresh out of college & newlywed, we moved across the country seeking what has become such a grand beautiful adventure pursuing life, laughter, and happiness! A little piece of that adventure has been chasing after a dream of mine to create, inspire, and encourage.
I started this little paper company from our tiny one bedroom Portland apartment five years ago with a passion for all things calligraphy, watercolor, and stationery design with a hope to get to use that passion to shine my light as a Christian & to encourage others whether through beautiful paper or around the workshop table to cultivate their passion, find community and pursue their creative dreams! It all began from our kitchen table back in 2015, I had just finished designing and printing my sister-in-laws wedding invitations, and with a few designs I opened up an Etsy shop. After passing this super cute shop in our neighborhood over and over, I finally got up the courage to walk inside and introduce myself to Heather, owner of Sea Of Roses, whose shop at the time, Work/Shop PDX, had just advertised that they were going to begin hosting workshops and were looking for creatives/artists who would be interested in teaching a class! She was so gracious and supportive in giving me the opportunity to teach my first workshop! It was an Intro to Modern Calligraphy class back in February of 2016. Many many workshops, weddings, and StyledYou retreats later, and so many beautiful friendships formed through the creative industry here we are! From what started as a paper goods Etsy shop, to teaching my first creative workshops at Work/Shop PDX, to meeting Manda at Mae&Co who has been a huge supporter of my creative career and inviting me to be an instructor at the most amazing StyledYou workshops and retreats, to designing for over 50+ brides and weddings, and now to collaborating as an instructor for StyledYou Classroom to continue my love for teaching and getting back to our roots of correspondence stationery design this upcoming year!
My hope is for Seek to be an encouragement to go in search of the Lord and His word. To inspire us to draw near to Him in whatever season we may find ourselves in, and to see all the beautiful ways He is working in our lives.
My hope is that this little paper company would give each person whose hands hold our paper the encouragement to let God do glorious things in their hearts and to spread His truth to others.
About Seek
My Daily Prayer
Each time I find myself with an opportunity to create and put forth something, I say a prayer that the works of my hands would turn back glory to God, that I may not be tempted to change or conform to a mold in order to please people but that I would please the Lord.
